Aspen Art Museum
What: The Aspen Art Museum will present Freestyle 2011, an après-ski gala supporting the museum’s critically acclaimed contemporary art programming. The evening will kick off with cocktails, caviar, and hors d’oeuvres, as well as a silent auction, then move on to the main event: a Dennis Basso runway show and live auction hosted by Sotheby’s.

Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club
What: AVSC, whose goal is to provide youngsters in the greater Roaring Fork Valley the chance to develop as athletes and as people through winter sports, will host the Ajax Cup ski race to benefit its programs. An après-ski party will follow.

Komen Aspen
What: The Komen Aspen Ski for the Cure offers a great day of skiing to raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Prizes will be awarded for the most vertical feet per team/per individual and for the pinkest team/individual. Registration includes entry fee, goody bag, and après-ski and awards party.

Light it Up Blue Aspen
What: As part of an autism awareness campaign for Autism Speaks, Light It Up Blue Aspen will hold a Gala to commemorate World Autism Day. The event will feature cocktails and dinner accompanied by a Patron-inspired drink menu, and will benefit local families through Extreme Sports Camp, The Autism Treatment Network at JFK Partners, and The Roaring Fork Autism Network.
