Casa Tua co-owner Miky Grendene is nothing if not a perfectionist. During a tour of his new restaurant and private club, he constantly refines: Desserts are politely discussed with his pastry chef, a tiny speck of water is wiped from an impossibly clean exhibition kitchen and a stack of design books is realigned. It’s quickly apparent Grendene is in charge, and he’s eager to chat about his passions: food, family, photography, kite surfing and ski racing. “Life is about balance,” he says. Grendene’s personal photographs liven menus, as does the seared branzino Casa Tua with artichoke and asparagus (PICTURED). Given the beautiful interiors by Italian architect and designer Michele Bönan (who collaborated with local architect Robert Sinclair) and a rotating art exhibition (and sale), balance never looked, or tasted, so good. 447 E.
