Aspen Art Museum
The shows that Heidi Zuckerman Jacobson puts on are amazing and feature exciting new artists. The museum’s new building will be a vibrant addition to Aspen’s center core. We are fortunate to have this as part of our cultural scene.

Powerline Glades at Snowmass
All four of our mountains are amazing, but my hands-down favorite is Snowmass. I love to ski Powerline, which has such varied terrain.

Dinner at The Caribou Club
The food is consistently excellent. I was very close to [the late] Harley Baldwin and remain good friends with [his partner,] Richard Edwards. The Caribou is my favorite spot to entertain visiting European friends.

Hiking Mount Sopris
An incredible hike. The drive to the trailhead is magnificent. I prefer more isolated hikes away from town. This one is truly special.

Biking to Carbondale
I am relatively new to the sport, having taken it up just a few years ago with my wife, Eleanore. I frequently go with my friend Allen Questrom, and we take the Rio Grande Trail down to SIX89 in Carbondale. The ride to St. Benedict’s Monastery in Old Snowmass is also a favorite.

Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro at Aspen Highlands 
I grew up in Italy and this on-mountain restaurant exudes European charm. When dining at Cloud Nine I am reminded of Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, and St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Aspen Music Festival and School
There’s nothing better than ending a summer day of hiking with a performance at Harris Concert Hall. It’s world-class.

Hiking from Aspen to Crested Butte
I hiked this last year with my wife and it’s truly amazing. It was raining and the views were dramatic, with low-hanging clouds and abundant wildfl ower fields.

Aspen Saturday Market
A stroll through the downtown market is great fun in the summer.

The Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Parade
This is such a festive annual tradition and one of my favorite Aspen events. It certainly is America at its best!
