A shared culture between brands leads to creative originality.
Kånken Tarpaulin A/F backpacks, $220 each, and Gaiter pants, $430, all by Acne Studios Fjällräven at acnestudios.com.
After years of admiration for Swedish heritage and lifestyle brand Fjällräven, Jonny Johansson, creative director of Acne Studios, extended an invitation to his fellow Swedish countryman, Henrik Andersson, head of innovation and design at Fjällräven, to collaborate. “The result is a unique collection that embodies the timeless functionality of Fjällräven and the artistic approach of Acne Studios while creating something completely new,” Andersson says. The inaugural joint effort includes new renditions of the famed Kånken backpack, colorful outerwear, camouflage prints and even a sleeping bag. The versatility among pieces combines with a fashion-forward aesthetic that easily appeals to lovers of both the trails and the pavement.
