Aspen Film will feature Haute Cuisine in a film and food event.

Aspen Film is pairing film and food for a decadent evening during “Savor Summer: A Seasonal Event for the Senses” on August 14. Cinema lovers are invited to gather around a country dinner table at Rustique Bistro to enjoy a three-course meal of inspired French fare. To whet the appetites of guests, the dinner is preceded by an exclusive screening at the Isis Theater of the film Haute Cuisine, courtesy of The Weinstein Company.

Making its North American debut at the Tribeca Film Festival this past April, Haute Cuisine is based on the true story of President François Mitterrand’s private cook, Danièle Delpeuch, played by Catherine Frot.

“It is a must-see film for anyone who loves France—its cuisine, its traditions, and its cinema,” say the filmmakers.

The film-inspired dinner menu was created by Rustique owner Rob Ittner, after he recently screened the film at the Aspen Film office. It’s an evening sure to be tres magnifique! 216 S. Monarch St., 970-920-2555

Tickets are $150 per person, with all proceeds benefiting Aspen Film.
